A look back at SSH Energy 2026 and the special session co-hosted by the td-net

Stefan Müller of the td-net had the pleasure of co-hosting a special session at the 6th Swiss Social Sciences and Humanities Energy Research Workshop (SSH Energy 2026), which took place in mid-June. Organised and hosted by the Cultural Studies of Science and Technology Group at ETH Zurich, the workshop brought together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, modellers, artists and early career scholars for two days of exchange on the social, political and cultural dimensions of energy transitions. Stefan’s session, held alongside Vanja Djinlev from Empa — who is also a member of the Swiss Young Academy — explored problems associated with creating more just energy communities, and how transdisciplinary research could help address these problems.
